The second Chorlton Open Gardens day was a great success and thanks to everyone who helped to make it so. We were very lucky with the weather, only two minutes of drizzle, and over 1000 people helped to raise over £6,000 for Freedom from Torture. The feedback from gardeners and public has been very positive many saying what a great communal event it was and how they have been inspired to make changes to their yards and gardens. Next year’s event will take place on Sunday June 23rd 2013. If you would like to offer your garden please click ‘Contact’ and we will get back to you.

We are a couple of keen gardeners who have run Open Gardens in our village for a number of years and we are trying to develop a national Open Gardens website specifically aimed at town and village Open Gardens.
The website is in its infancy and we need organisers to add their Open Garden events. The site benefits event organisers and also those who attend Open Gardens weekends. For the humble town or village Open Gardens event, we think this is an exciting opportunity to get an event publicised.
If you are an Open Gardens organiser and feel this might be of interest, please get back to us or go ahead and add your forthcoming event – there is no charge.
Our apologies if this email has reached you in error. Many thanks for your time.
Kind regards,
Rachel Slater
